Puppy Prices:

Puppy Prices Do Not Include Shipping Charges or Delivery Charges

AKC Limited Registration is $1950.00 for all of our Pups and requires a $250.00 Non-Refundable but Transferable Deposit

*AKC Limited Registration does not allow the puppy/adult dog to participate in the AKC conformation show ring. It does allow for participation in all other AKC sanctioned events. You cannot breed or register offspring (puppies) with any registrar.

AKC Unlimited Registration is $2750.00 and requires a $500.00 Non-Refundable but Transferable Deposit

*AKC Unlimited Registration allows the puppy/adult dog to participate in the AKC conformation show ring and all other AKC sanctioned events. You can breed and register off-spring (puppies) with AKC, UKC, CKC or any other country’s registrar equivalent to the AKC.

Puppy Purchase Process:

Deposits:

WE DO NOT ACCEPT DEPOSITS ON ANY PUPPY 6 WEEKS OLD OR OLDER. AT 6 WEEKS OLD ONLY PAYMENTS IN FULL WILL BE ACCEPTED. ALL PUPPIES MUST BE PAID FOR IN FULL ON OR BEFORE THE DAY THE PUPPY TURN 6 WEEKS OLD TO HOLD THEM UNTIL THEY ARE 8 WEEKS OLD AND THEY ARE PICKED UP, SHIPPED OR DELIVERED.

When you have decided to purchase your new Standard Poodle puppy from Family Affair Standard Poodles, prior to the date the puppy turns 6 weeks old you will need to pay:

$250.00 non-refundable deposit but transferable for Limited Registration on our male or female pups
$500.00 for Unlimited Registration on our male or female pups.
You may pay by Credit/Debit Card. On the right side of each page of the Website you will see the Side Bar. Scroll down on the Side Bar until you see the “PAY NOW” button. Right above that button you will see a drop down box with prices listed, select the appropriate deposit amount of either $250.00 or $500.00 and then click the “PAY NOW” button. You will then be directed to the page where you will enter your credit/debit card information. At the bottom that page you will see, “To pay by credit or debit card click here”. It may also say “Check Out as Guest”. Click there and follow those directions.
You may also use your PayPal account. Send your PayPal payments to wendy@familyaffairstandards.com.
You may call the office at (252)-478-4356 and make payment over the phone as well.
Fill out the PUPPY DEPOSIT CONTRACT. Please follow the directions carefully at the top of the contract.

Payment of Balance and Payment in Full:

If you have put a deposit down on a puppy, PAYMENT IN FULL , minus the deposit amount, and including any shipping charges, is due on or before the day your puppy turns 6 weeks old. If we are delivering your puppy to you in person, you will be required to pay the delivery fee in cash when the puppy exchanges hands. If you are using our flight nanny services all fees must be paid at time of booking except the $250 flight nanny fee that will be paid in cash directly to the flight nanny.
If you are purchasing a PUPPY that is 6 weeks old or older and have not previously put down a deposit, PAYMENT IN FULL is required at the time of the commitment to purchase.
WE DO NOT ACCEPT CHECKS FOR BALANCES OR PAYMENTS IN FULL.
If you are visiting Family Affair Standards and picking out, paying for and taking home a puppy all in the same day we only accept Cash or Credit/Debit Card.

If you are purchasing a LIMITED REGISTRATION PUPPY, fill out the Limited Puppy Purchase Contract.
If you are purchasing an UNLIMITED REGISTRATION PUPPY, fill out Unlimited Puppy Purchase Contract.

Please follow the directions for filling out the contract carefully at the top of either contract. This contract will be returned to you by email within five business days, once your puppy is picked up, shipped or delivered. It will contain pertinent information such as the AKC litter number, the parents’ names and AKC numbers as well as your puppy’s date of birth. It serves as your receipt for payment in full and it explains your guarantee on your puppy. It will also have all the shots and vaccines your puppy has had while in our care.

You will get a copy of the shot records when you receive your puppy. These will need to be taken to your first vet appointment and will give your vet all of the necessary information they will need to set your Standard Poodle puppy on a schedule for the remaining vaccines that it needs. REMINDER: Puppies are supposed to be taken to the vet within 3 business days of pick up. Please make sure that you book your appointments as soon as possible to make sure that you can get them seen in a timely manner.

Your Standard Poodle puppy can go home at 8 weeks old. You must pick out your puppy as close to the 8 week pick-up date as possible. You will choose in order of your place in line for that litter. If you are going to pick up your puppy later than the Saturday that follows your puppy turning 8 weeks old, you will have to choose your puppy via video. Please be sure to email (beth@familyaffairstandards.com) us to set an appointment time to pick up your puppy. If you come the Saturday after your puppy turns 8 weeks old and you have 1st choice and have anyone in line behind you, your appointment needs to be, at the latest, mid-morning.

Your puppy must be 8 weeks old to ship or be delivered. If you are shipping your puppy you will have to pick out your puppy via video.

You have until your Standard Poodle puppy reaches 9 weeks old to pick up your puppy or have your puppy shipped. If for some reason your are unable to pick up or have your puppy shipped, we will be glad to hold your puppy for a small daily boarding fee of $10.00. This is payable in cash when you pick up your new puppy or if shipping by PayPal or Credit Card before it is shipped. During this time your puppy will continue to receive all age appropriate vaccines according to our protocol.

If you purchase a puppy that is over 6 weeks old you have 14 days to either pick up your new puppy or have them shipped. Again, if you are unable to pick up or have your new puppy shipped within the 14 days, the same boarding fee applies. Note: If the shipping or delivery is delayed due to our schedule no boarding fees will be incurred.

Special Needs Puppies: Fee Decided on a Case by Case Basis

Special needs discounted puppy fees depend on the individual need of each puppy. These fees are determined on a case by case basis and will be posted with the picture. When you decide to adopt a particular special needs puppy, we will let you know to the best of our knowledge any health issues, special needs or social characteristics that may be weak points or strong points. You will then fill out our: COMMITMENT CONTRACT TO ADOPT AN ADULT OR SPECIAL NEEDS ADOPTEE. Special Needs Puppies can only go to homes that have already purchased a Puppy, an Adult Retiree or Special Needs Adult/Puppy from FAMILY AFFAIR STANDARD POODLES.

Adult Purchase Prices:

Healthy Adult, 6 to 7 Year Old Retiring from the Breeding Program: $1000.00 to $1250.00 (This fee includes spay/neuter, dental work, pre-op blood work, negative heart worm test, any antibiotics or pain meds needed after the surgery.)
Healthy Young Adult: Price is decided on a Case by Case basis. (This includes the cost of the Spay/Neuter Fee.)
Special Need Adults: Price is decided on a Case by Case basis. Plus the cost of the Spay/Neuter Fee.

Adult Purchase Process:

Healhty 6 to 7 Year Old Retiring from the Breeding Program:

Our routine protocol for retiring all of our sires and dams is between the ages of six and seven years. Once you have decided on a particular Adult Adoptee we require a $250.00 non-refundable commitment fee. You will then fill out our: COMMITMENT CONTRACT TO ADOPT AN ADULT OR SPECIAL NEEDS ADOPTEE. Just before leaving Family Affair Standard Poodles your Adult Adoptee is taken to our vet. A pre-op physical and blood work are done and they are spayed or neutered. The teeth are also cleaned at this time. They are given a heart worm test to take to your vet so that you can purchase heart worm prevention without taking your adult adoptee in for another test. Occasionally they are sent home with pain meds or antibiotics. If needed, a Rabies vaccine is also given at this time. Your Adult Adoptee will have a fresh groom and a microchip as well. These services usually cost between $1000.00 and $1250.00. The cost depends on the amount of dental work, the gender and other medical procedures performed. You, as the adoptive parent, pay this fee directly to us.

Healthy Young Adult:

Occasionally, for various reasons, we will have a young healthy, well socialized adult (2-5 years old) to retire. The reasons for a younger Adult Adoptee retiring will vary. Once you have decided on a Young Adult we require a non-refundable commitment fee of half the cost of the total fee. Then you will fill out our: COMMITMENT CONTRACT TO ADOPT AN ADULT OR SPECIAL NEEDS ADOPTEE. It will also have the same medical procedures done as the other Adult Adoptees. The purchase fees are higher for these Young Adults because they are younger and you will receive many years of companionship and love. Just before leaving FAMILY AFFAIR STANDARD POODLES your Special Needs Adult Standard Poodle is taken to our vet. A pre-op physical and blood work are done and they are spayed or neutered. They are given a heart worm test to take to your vet so that you can purchase heart worm prevention without taking your Special Needs Adult Standard Poodle in for a test. Occasionally they are sent home with pain meds or antibiotics. If needed, a Rabies vaccine is also given at this time. Your Young Adult will have a fresh groom and a microchip as well. The cost depends on the amount of dental work, the gender and other medical procedures performed. You, as the adoptive parent, pay this fee directly to us.

Special Need Adults:

Once you have decided on a Special Needs Adult we require a $100.00 non-refundable commitment fee. You then will fill out our: COMMITMENT CONTRACT TO ADOPT AN ADULT OR SPECIAL NEEDS ADOPTEE. If there are any additional fees for your Special Needs Adult, beyond the spay/neuter fee, they will be determined on a case by case basis and are based on the extent of the special needs. Special Needs Adults can only go to homes that have already purchased a Puppy, an Adult Retiree or Special Needs Puppy from FAMILY AFFAIR STANDARD POODLES. Just before leaving FAMILY AFFAIR STANDARD POODLES your Special Needs Adult Standard Poodle is taken to our vet. A pre-op physical and blood work are done and they are spayed or neutered. They are given a heart worm test to take to your vet so that you can purchase heart worm prevention without taking your Special Needs Adult Standard Poodle in for a test. Occasionally they are sent home with pain meds or antibiotics. If needed, a Rabies vaccine is also given at this time. Your Special Needs Adult will have a fresh groom and a microchip as well. These services usually cost between $600.00 and $800.00. The cost depends on the gender and other medical procedures performed. You, as the adoptive parent, pay this fee directly to us.
